"Six Month Smiles" braces. Anyone have experience ?

So my dentist is recommending "Six Month Smiles" for my 13yr old ... to close the gaps between his teeth.

Anyone here use the "Six Month Smiles" treatment ... or the "Invisalign" treatment ?

Any thoughts ?

My wife just got braces. What we learned was that every single dentist has a different opinion and would solve the problem a different way.

We went to 6 different orthodontists and this was the breakdown

3 wanted to pull teeth, each one had different teeth in mind.
2 wanted to use standard braces, but with different suggestions on how long to wear them.
1 (the one we went with) suggested a different tech (www.damonbraces.com), didn't want to pull teeth, and was not the cheapest or most expensive of the group.

She wanted the Invisalign braces, but couldn't because she needed rubber bands to pull her jaw forward.

My suggestion, go see at least 4 different doctors before you make a decision.

I had braces for years as a teenager, I can't imagine how these would do it all in 6 months. It might work, but in the back of my head I hear the commercials for 5 minute abs.

they say they can do it quicker because it's just aimed at correcting a few crooked teeth instead of changing your whole overall bite.

I have no personal experience with Six Month Smiles, but I am going to ask an Orthodontist friend of mine about it the next time I see her.
