(refer to my sig line to see my system)

When I originally built this machine six months ago I got the best of what I could find...and did a lot of reading before buying the motherboard. It had been 10 years since building a computer with an Abit board; I have used Asus exclusively since the days of Win 98.

I built with 2.0G of ram using Corsair DDR2 ... a matched pair that I got from Egghead. A few weeks ago, I decided to max out the RAM (at least, for this 32-bit OS anyway) and I was hesitant to buy two more sticks of memory because I've read that others have stability problems when all four slots are filled and you use fast memory timings.

But I didn't want to just go buy two 2.0G sticks either, because I didn't have another machine to use the old RAM with.

So I logged on to Egghead and purchased another matching pair of the same part number that I originally bought months ago. It worked GREAT! The machine stayed in the Dual Channel Mode, and still allows me to run the 4-4-4-12 timings.

This machine ROCKS and I use it 12 hours a day between work and play.

I'm a happy camper! (and to answer those who are going to ask, this particular machine does manage to see 3.6G of the memory for some reason, rather than 3.3 as most others report.) I'm running Vista Business 32.

Nice. My IP35-E was solid with an e8400 overclocked to 4ghz. It was on 24/7 6 days a week.

Now I just got my X38 and I'm gonna crank it up later. Vista 32 feels faster than XP 32.
