Six Flags screwing me over

So my mother-in-law buys the whole family season ticket to Six Flags over Texas. This includes 4 adults and 3 children (ages 6, 4, and 2) and ended up costing her over 500 bucks. We used her credit card and ordered them online from their website. Well, after we're done purchasing them, we come to find out that the "daily admission price" for kids 2 and under is nothing....they get in free! It doesn't say that anywhere on their season pass page! We'd just finished paying 60+ dollars on a season pass for a 2 year old that doesn't turn 3 until November! We called customer service afterwards, but they said sorry, there are no refunds for online purchases. Is that bullcrap or what? You even have to put in your birthdate when ordering the tickets, so its not like they couldn't prevent something like this from happening.

why would they stop stupid people from making stupid mistakes?

seriously now. you can't blame them for your ignorance, you should've done a bit of research on their website before making a purchase that large.

Why did you pay $60+ for a season pass? They're like $52 at Rite-Aid and you get the coupon book and everything.
Whats Rite-Aid?! I want a $52 season pass 😛

Ignorance or not, I think that 6 Flags should at least put that on the part where you order tickets, or maybe have a website that has current information throughout.

I.e. If children get in free then $60 != $0.

And, I also am still a firm believer of the customer is always right and companies should try to do their best to accomidate and help the customer.

Your birthdate or the birthdate of everyone who gets the season ticket? If it's the former, how are they supposed to know how old your kids are?

Damn man... you got some serious bad luck. First your son flushes Mario Party 4 down the toilet now this. Ouchies.

I got mine for $49. Where I live, you can almost spit into Louisiana. They reduce the price for people this far out.

Take the voucher you get for the season pass, and sell it to someone at the gate for $50. That way you are only out $10. That's probably the best you are gonna get.

If Six-Flags refuse to refund, then try dispute the charge w/ the credit card company.
He doesen't want to dispute the whole charge, just the 60$.

talk to your credit card company

Call back and bitch again.

Take names.

When the first person says no, ask for a supervisor.

Take names.

Repeat as necessary.

Write the president of Six Flags. On paper.

Be the squeaky wheel. That's an asinine policy that some flunky who can't spell "Customer Service" is blindly spewing off because s/he doesn't know what else to do.

This is from the Six Flags website on the season pass purchase page (I chose Six Flags Cleveland)...

A season pass allows you unlimited park visits on regular operating days during the 2003 season. Once processed at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure, your pass may be used at Six Flags theme parks, Enchanted Village/Wild Waves, The Great Escape, La Ronde and Wyandot Lake. Season passes may not be shared or used during private parties. Season Passes are for anyone 4 years and older. Children 3 and under are admitted FREE to Six Flags Worlds of Adventure.

Maybe it's different for Texas...
