Six Flags Magic Mountain Shutting Down?

I've just been hearing lately that six flags magic mountain is shutting down. Not really sure on the evidence of their claims. I've been researching it on google only finding speculation in the shut down process. Any opinions, thoughts, or information on this topic would be appreciated

The one in California just opened a new badass ride and is as busy as ever, so I doubt they will be shutting down. It would suck though, that would be I would have to go to Disneyland if I wanted to ride a rollercoaster...*shudder*

This sucks. I am going to disneyland/six flags magic mountain in october, already bought season passes and plane tickets. Crap...

Well, if that happens, my hubby and I should make a trip back there before it closes all the way. I love Magic Mountain. They have some of the best rides. I haven't been there in a while so I haven't ridden some of their newer rides.

There has been a lot of talk about closing the park, and selling to land-hungry developers, in part, due to the high crime rates in/around the park. Fvcking gang-bangers...Ought to make gang-banging a capital offense...call them terrorists....maybe that will get the government to add some resources to the local cop's fight against them...
