Sitting on the Fence-Crucial M4 vs Samsung 830 256GB

I am having a real struggle deciding between the two. Found the M4 for $309 and the 830 for $339. Price differential is so close! Only main benefit for the 830 is Magician software. M4 seems better in 4K writes...

Would you all mind shedding some light?

Thanks

Have a look on AT bench at the m4 256GB 6Gbps vs 830 256GB 6Gbps and see if you think it's worth an extra $30.

I would say most definately. I have one so yes I am probably biased, but with the 830 you get a decent toolbox application and full copy of Norton Ghost 15.

It's also worth mentioning that the m4 is based on the C300 which originally came out in 2010 and the m4 came out 12 months ago. With Marvell's 3rd gen SATA controller just been announced, its fair to say the m4 will have a replacement sooner rather than later as IMO it's started to fall behind against the 830 and SF-2281 based drives.
