Hello everyone. I must say I have found some VERY valuable info from this site. I wanted to make a recommendation on something that I think would help me out a lot, as well as others so I wanted to see what kind of response this would get.

The only operating systems that I have worked with are primarily Win 95 and 98. So I am really behind the times. I am upgrading to Win 2000 and XP. I was wondering if we could have a sticky in the OS Section for common problems people have run across using each operating system and he solution they found to fix the problem. I fell this would make it easier for us to search the OS Section for problems that have certain symptoms to allow us to trouble shoot the problem easier.

I was thinking about having a sticky for each OS and people could post the problems they have run across with different OS and the fix for it. Any one else support my idea??? Do you think anyone else could benefit from this change???

Me thinks you have no idea of how much space that would take up.. I'm not saying its a bad idea, but just as an example, the knowledge base for Microsoft's Windows 2000 is HUGE! And that's just a single OS, never mind the various apps that can be installed and all of the myriad scenarios that would introduce.
