Site I just put up....

I'd do two things at first glance:

1) Justify the text (pet peeve of mine)
2) Make it so that the category titles, "Travels Collection," "Royal Guest Collection," and "Elements Collections" are always visible. Don't make people guess what's behind door #1, etc.

Also, I think there isn't something quite right with the main menu system. I understand having About Us, Privacy, Mailing List, and Contact Us grouped together. Actually, at the bottom of the page, in smaller letters, I'd say "Copyright 2003" and next to that have "Privacy" linking to the same page. In the top menu bar, I'd then have "About Us," "Mailing List," and "Contact Us" in that order. The "Hotels" and "Interior Designers" links just don't seem to fit where they are, IMO. I'm not sure where I'd put them, but I would probably name them "For Hotels" or "For Hotel Managers" and "For Interior Designers."

Its nice...but here are some suggetions:

1. bitmaps and flash don't mix so well..
pretty much all of the pics are pixelated to some degree, so try to get higher quality bitmapped pics (I think that will help, since most of the time they'll be scaled down, not up...)
2. Fix the title (all it says now is chenedwards, one word in small caps)
3. Try to do the whole thing in flash. You already ahve a nice flash animation..why not cut out the HTML stuff and do everything in flash? AFAIK you can connect to SQL databases in FlashMX. It would look a lot more uniform...

Yeah, the images will be redone because of the pixelization. As far as the menu bar goes, that's the way the client wanted it, and I cant talk them out of it. I can do the whole thing in flash, but then I'd have to charge them alot more $ which I doubt they would agree to. 🙂
Thanks.
