anyone know of a good site to find reviews of autos?

specifically cars that are 5 or 6 years old, and that have been road tested for years.

my wifes work is auctioning off several fleet cars. i want to see if any of them tend to be lemons, or if they tend to be great long term vehicles

some of the ones available

'99 ford contour
'02 - '04 chev impala's (several of these)
'01 dodge intrepid
'98 - '02 chev malibu's
'99 dodge stratus
'02 ford taurus

any suggestions of sites with good references for any or all of these cars? or.. any personal experience with any of these?

Of those I'd go with the Impala, Malibu, or Intrepid. But I've never owned any of them.

But I'd check Edmunds or CarandDriver or things likt that to see if they have their older reviews.

I wouldn't buy any of them but I'd particularly avoid the Contour, Intrepid and Stratus.

'99 ford contour Utter crap. has more recalls then any other car I have seen and had more of them in the shop being worked on then any other Ford
'02 - '04 chev impala's (several of these) Havent heard anything bad myself but its a Chevy. I personnaly like GM cars so I cant say much
'01 dodge intrepid Crap with engine and trans problems. My trans guy loved these and always had plenty to work on with this car, the Stratus, neons, And Caravans pre 2000 when I worked for Dodge
'98 - '02 chev malibu's See above comment on other GM. I owned a olds 1998 Cutlass which is the same car with same drivetrain. Bought it when I was working for Ford. One of the best engines IMO.
'99 dodge stratus Crap too say problems, just worse and more of them, see other comment.
'02 ford taurus Decent car. Trans problems with 2000 and older ones but it was more a shutter when shifting from gear to gear. Flushing out all the fluid and putting in synthetic was what Ford told us to do to fix it and it worked. Dont know if they worked it out on that year though for I quit working for Ford that year. Other then that not to bad of a car.

tks for the info and links :)

im not especially excited about bidding on any of these cars. was thinking of getting something newer for my wifes daily driver (she has a 91 camry that runs GREAT!!, but looks old/ugly)

now if they had some newer camry's i would be very tempted, lol

its a blind auction and the min bid ranges from about 2k - 4k for most of them (the taurus being a lot higher then the rest at 13k )
