I'm just curious. Have any professional/super-experienced MySQL DBAs/Server gurus taken a look at the issues the forums have been experiencing? I ask because, with proper hardware tuning (and if in the cloud, proper I/O, OS settings, InnoDB/MyISAM/MariaDB/etc tuning, etc.) and/or sharding, it should be possible to scale the site without issue long-term.
I'm a full time high-traffic, high-availability MySQL DBA (with cloud experience) among other things. I know you guys know what you're doing, but figured I'd offer my (volunteered) time in case there are any questions.
If not needed, feel free to ignore this post.
