SIT tone to get rid of telemarketers

<DIV>If you'd like to get rid of telemarketing calls you need to add a SIT out-of-service tone to your answering machine message- that's the three beep tone that you get when you dial an out of service number. I found the .wav file on the web at http://www.sandman.com/sounds/sit.wav SIT.wav first record the tone on your answering machine then your message.</DIV>
<DIV>
When the automated telemaketing dialer hears the tone, it assumes your number is out of service and it takes you off the call list automatically. No muss, no fuss, no counting on there being a warm body who's actually paid to listen to answering machine messages and go to the trouble of removing you from a database they probably don't know how to access anyway.</DIV>
<DIV>
The day after I started using the SIT tone (2 weeks ago), I went from an average 2-3 telemarketing calls daily between 6-9pm to zero. I highly recommend it, and it's free.</DIV>

Thanks for the tone! I recorded onto my answering machine and I expect it to reduce the telemarketing calls I get. I get most during the day when I am at work so the machines will detect the SIT tone.
