I have seen a lot of disparaging remarks about SiSoft Sandra in these forums, but it still appears that a lot of members use it. I have the latest version of SiSoft Sandra Pro 2001.3.7.52 and find two puzzling anomalies. My system is on an ABIT BE6 II MB running at 100Mhz FSB. In SoftMenu I have the PCI/FSB set to 1/3 -- verified several times -- but Sandra reports a divider of 1/4 and a PCI bus of 25MHz. I don't have anything else that reports the PCI bus clock, but I am sure Sandra is just wrong. Anyone else observed this?
The other thing that is odd is that I have (at the moment) two slots filled with PC133 128Meg. SDRAM. One is an Apacer and the other is a Mosel -- both set to 2-2-2. Sandra sees both as the correct speed and setting, but returns the name of Apacer for the one, but no name for the Mosel. Seems odd.
At least with this latest version of Sandra it stopped reporting my computer as a Wang -- which it had done for years.
