SIS 755FX

For a while the Foxconn WinFast 755FXK8AA-8EKRS was listed at New Egg but it isn't there anymore. I searched pricewatch and can't find it listed anywhere. It is still listed on the Foxxconn website, but is anyone carrying it, or is any other manufacturer using the 755fx?

Just wondering because this is a decient chip, just needs a good board to support it.

ECS have the first 756 chipset board on their site now. Going with 755FX rather than 755 made no sense for their socket-754 product, since the only extra feature (1000 MHz HT) isn't needed there.

These SiS chipsets typically go into very few, but incredibly high volume designs. Remember how one single board - ECS K7S5A - consumed practically all shipments of the SiS 735? This thing shipped several dozen million units ...

I remember that one well Peter, ( the K7S5a) I loved that board until a power surge took it out. It's one reason Im looking for the 755 or 756. I think ASUS has both listed but they aren't for sale anywhere that I can find.

The Foxxcon board above with the 755fx is listed as socket 939, I wonder if they had problems with that or are just dumping it and waiting for the 756?
