Hi folks,
I'm in the process of building a bargain PC for myself. I have a barebones Athlon (T-bird 900mhz) on the way w/ 256 megs of RAM (PC133). The chipset the mainboard has includes integrated graphics from SiS (730S), using shared memory architecture.
I was just wondering if I can expect reasonable game play w/ games like Quake III Arena and the like. I was satisfied w/ the benchmarks this graphics chipset when it came to playing DVD's, I was just wondering if anyone had an experience using any of the newer integrated graphics chipsets in game play.
My old system was a PII 350 and I had a PCI 16 meg card w/ an nVidia chipset; I averaged around 30 frames/sec. I was hoping at least not to do worse than that.
Would appreciate any input,
-- David
