I'm currently working on an individual SiS 648 review based on ECS's 648 board. I'll have a 648 roundup in the next couple weeks, and that'll include the 648 boards I've already reviewed. I'll add Epox, ASUS and possibly AOpen's 648 boards to the roundup, since we haven't covered these 648 boards here before.

Anyway, if there's anything in particular you want to see in this roundup that hasn't been included in other articles, just go ahead suggest something. Perhaps you guys want to see more compatibility tests with different types of hardware? I've been thinking of doing a test where I fill up all PCI slots and see how well each card operates with a few stress benching.

Hmm, dunno if this really has anything to do with the actual subject but what the heck:)

In your review of the Gigabyte 8SG667 you said the following:
-There were no CPU temperature readings, case readings, or even PSU readings. However, Gigabyte tells us that 8SG667 boards will ship with a different BIOS version than the one we used (F3e) that will offer all the readings we desire.

I bought this card a few weeks ago and I am sorry to say that none of the above promised features is in the BIOS:(

Not sure if you have done any reviews on this. If so, sorry for suggesting it again... been an AMD person in the past and just recently checking out the Intel side.

I would like to see a comparison of the 648 chip with the other chipsets (845PE, ...). I'm trying to decide which chipset to use to build a new computer. It seems this information is out there, but just scattered all over the place that it's difficult for me to integrate it. If you could integrate this info I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

I second what Jebus said. In addition, I think it would be cool to see how these boards compare in an overclocked state. We all know that many of the SIS 648 boards are not overclocking well, so I am sure you will point out if any of the boards are an exception to this rule.

I know of at least three of the SIS 648 boards ( the Asus, Gigabyte, and Epox) have already been through a few bios revisions, so I hope you will report any improvements made with the lastest BIOS.

Other than that, it seems to me your reviews cover all the bases. I personally think your reviews are some of the best on the net. Keep up the good work:)

yah I'd just like to re-echo what the past 2 ppl said. I'm interested in building a P4 system and was wondering which the best chipset to go with is, I'd rather use DDR ram.
