i think you should go and give the latest article over at Tom's Hardware a read with their latest motherboard review on the SiS 645DX motherboard.

after reading it, let your comments and opinions be known here. personally, it looks like a pretty good combo. of course, it only achieves its maximum speed when paired up with pc2700 ram running at full spec.

If you look at the test setup page you will see that the DDR boards receive 512 total MB memory while the RDRAM board got only 256 MB. That seems a little unfair to me.

A preview, that's all that was. In order to correctly examine the picture of the P4 chipset market after 533fsb is released, you need tyo use 533fsb CPU's and compare 645DX to 850e with PC1066, P4X333, and 845e. It is very good performance, but if 850e is paired with 533fsb+PC1066, it'll blow any DDR chipset out of the water.

so what is the difference between the 645dx and running a 645 with a P4 oc'ed to 133 FSB, and memory at 333 ?
