XM's stock is also tanking. If I was an investor, I'd be hoping that this merger went through quickly.

I'm just a subscriber, though, so I hope that the price war between these two continues :)

Welcome to reason #2533 that you don't invest in unestablished stocks. People that bought GOOG are lucky thus far.

This merger still seems like a BAD idea to me as a satellite radio user, though. Not only does Sirius lose their major competitor, but they'll end up owning ALL of the currently allocated satellite radio frequency spectrum. That pretty much guarantees that there will not be a another competitor satellite radio for a loooong time!

Which price war is that? The service subscription charges have remained the same price since their inceptions.
