Sirius Satellite radio...do these in car or portable ones have an AUX out jack?

The reason I ask is both my wife's car and mine have AUX in capability so we can just plug an iPod into the car and listen to music. I was thinking of getting a portable Sirius satellite radio so we could get that in the car and then plug it in anywhere else we might be...like at work.

Anyone know the answer to this?

Any recommendations on portable satellite units?

Yes, both Sirius units I've used have had AUX out, and as SSG mentioned, it sounds MUCH better. Pretty much any unit that works with a home kit is going to have a 1/8" AUX jack.

So the next question...is it better to just get a deck thats "ready" and the hidden tuner module?

You can. I haven't played with a radio that has it built in, but my XM Roady 2 provides a ton of info, and I'm not sure if a deck could handle it all on 2 lines...just my $.02...

You can actually get one that has the tuner built in the HU itself. It needs nothing external.

I think only Kenwood makes a model like this. I am very pleased with it.

I am getting one for my car (I have a Pioneer HU and they make a Sirius plug in unit for it that is hidden and controlled by the HU) but my wife's car won't take an aftermarket HU so I'm looking for something with AUX out for her to use.

I have this one. It's a bit dated now (I've had it 2 years) but it does have an aux out jack. You can get a car and home kit, and easily swap the one receiver between car or home. Or between cars even. The problem with the ones built into the car HU is that you can only have it in the car.
