Siri - your thoughts?

I like her but its still a little gimmicky. I mean how many times can you ask her what is she wearing. The only issues I have is that anyone can access it even when your phone is locked. The other issue I have is it relies on sending the request to apple's servers. For simple requests such as playing music this really shouldn't be necessary - since it is accessing the information locally. Under the old voice command you could simply say something like "play playlist favorites" and it would play even in airplane mode.

You can disable this. I actually find this a feature. I don't want to have to unlock my phone before using Siri.

Not a huge fan. Must be my dialect but she doesn't understand what I am saying nearly often enough for it to be useful.

It's useful by no reason to get an iPhone 4s. I use it maybe every other day.

For me, it's extremely useful for setting reminders (especially location-based ones). If it only did that, I would still love it.

But sometimes I am surprised by what it doesn't do. Yesterday I tried "Read me the last text I received" but it could only tell me I had no new text messages. I also tried to ask about movies playing in my area and Siri could only produce a list of theaters. Google voice recognition handled that.

I like that it gave me a pretty detailed précis on the average airspeed of an unladen swallow.
