Went to my local booze shop looking for replenishments for the liquor cabinet (usually stocked with some variety of whiskies and rum).
The guy there asked if I'd ever tried sipping rum. Apparently, sipping rums are rum aged in oak casks - much like whisky.
Decided to try out a cheap sipping rum (Appleton Estate VX) and was surprised at how much it felt like a peaty whisky. Had it neat of course, in a chilled glass.
/Rant End
Anyone else here like sipping rums?
