sink exploded! (well, the finish at least)

After making some spaghetti, I was straining the noodles in the sink. While pouring the noodles into the strainer, the white finish of the sink suddenly exploded. Tiny pieces everywhere! And I swear....I didn't drop the pot, nor did it touch the sink.

I have a Kohler sink btw....went to their website, called their 800 number and they're getting me a new sink (warranty), but I have to pay for labor....doh!

I think I can safely say this is not a repost! never heard of the finish exploding off the casting, bet it scared the sht out of you

no kidding...here's the worse part...i was only cooking trying to be sweet to the mrs.....i think deep down she still believes i dropped the pot!

Maybe it was a porcelain sink, which is very porous, and they missed a spot when it was sealed.

Pretty freaky at any rate.
