Yeah, so much for Obama saying if you are happy with your present insurance you can stay with it. When he says change I guess he meant you will change from your private insurance to single payor insurance.

Is this the video where he basically explains how he is going to eliminate private insurance? I can't view it right now.

This is no surprise. You dont need to hear his words to know the ultimate goal is to crowd out the insurance companies.

I wanna do it:

I believe if we can get a public plan option in place it will prove so much more effective and cost beneficial to the American people that all the billions spent in blinding the American people that some Communist Gorilla is going to treat them in a jungle hut will be overcome and the fuckers who now provide insurance they will do anything to keep you from collecting on will finally and at last be able to be swept permanently and forever off the health care stage.

But if, on the other hand, the public option, which smart folk like the Republicans would never buy anyway, does fail, and you will note how willing they are to accept the challenge, then that will nip the public option in the bud.

So let's see which is best.

Physicians for a National Health Program (who disagree with the AMA's powers that be) on Single-Payer Insurance

Anyway, the over-riding issue is not one of single-payer - what causes the rightie-tighties (and insurance companies) to leave a fudgie in their panties is the prospect of a self-funded competitive public option....

And the millions of people who would flee 'private' coverage for a better system.

OK that's fair.

Are you concerned with Obama's dishonesty, or do you prefer instead of classify it as a change of heart?

Did all the people attacking Obama in this thread just come out of a coma and missed the entirety of the 2008 campaign or is just cognitive dissonance? He said repeatedly that in an ideal world single payer would be his choice but that in the world we live in it's not an option. Christ there were multiple Democratic primaries on this very subject. There is nothing in those "SHOCKING" clips that wasn't known and said repeatedly during the primary season.
