Single hard drive and single CD-RW; where to put zip cabling?

If I cable the single hard drive to the primary IDE connection on the motherboard and the CD-RW to the secondary IDE connection, where do I put the zip? As a slave to the CR-RW?

The Zip can go anywhere to the HDD or CD-RW. But the transfer rate would be better if it was slave to the CD-RW. The transfer rate being from Zip to HDD. If the Zip was slave to the HDD the transfer rate would be slower from Zip to HDD.

If I am wrong someone will correct me. But I think I'm right
