Why is my model number different that you guys?
8.17.12.8579 vs 8.17.12.9036 mine is less than a month old? Where can i update it..i ask because i have random graphic glitches in Heaven benchmark, but nothing else.

Weird, maybe that's a Zotac BIOS. My card is probably as old as they get. I bought it on 11/12/2010 - three days after launch.

I figured it out..lol

Turns on the newest beta drivers fixed the problem. Use the 290.36 drivers and min frame jumps back up to normal. I was using 285.79 before. Also, no more sparkles in the benchmark..though text is fuzzy. :p

However the IQ is TERRIBLE. The graphics are all washed out and so is text.
Edit: I found out how to "fix" the blurry text..you have to run 3d games in D9 mode..wtf? DX10/11 gives blurry text to me no matter what game.
