Single Core s939 Opteron - Mobo BIOS?

Should I expect my BIOS to recognize a single core Opteron without needing an upgrade if I'm currently running an s939 Athlon 64?

What BIOS/mobo do you currently have?

Epox 9NPA+Ultra running the August BIOS.

And I'm going to get a Gigabyte K8N-939 (low end) and load the latest BIOS for a webserver that might be Opteron based.

The BIOS release notes don't mention "Opteron" for either mobo.

If it can run the X2's, it'll run the Opterons.
