Single channel comes out of both headphones

I downloaded a program I want to play with from www.bwgen.com and it requires that my headphones be working correctly.

The test that I can't pass is the test to make sure that the left channel sound comes out ONLY from the left channel, and the right channel sound comes out ONLY from the right channel. The way you test it is to turn on the left channel sound and listen to the right headphone.

I am using earbuds, so I'm sure I'm not just hearing the left headphone, and I can defenitely hear sound out of my right headphone.

I really don't know what to change? Here is the hardware I'm using.

Sound Blaster USB plugged into my Biostar iDEQ 200N. I don't use the built-in nForce controller because it uses a really bad codec and it makes static.

I don't know what to change or modify in Windows to make this stop. Any help would be appreciated.

look in Control panel
Sound devices
poke around for headphone setting, maybe the default setting is for desktop stereo speakers.

Try the headphone setting with or without SPDIF - see which one works for you
