I have a problem w/ my new sandy bridge setup. I just recently built this:
Biostar TP67XE
2500K CPU
2x5770s GPU in CF
8 GB RAM
64 GB SanForce SSD
520W PSU
I first started having problems with my GPU when had finally built the system and decided to add a second 5770 in CF. I put the ribbon on, set the CF in catalyst and starting playing some games. I had many strange issues with stuttering and awkwardly choppy movement. I found out that this was common among CF setups.
I took out the second (older) GPU and tried playing some games, and noticed that some similiar but slightly different problems were occuring, most notably in Grand Theft Auto (high fps but every 3 seconds it would hang for a half second). I undid all my overclocks and the problem persisted. Then I bought a brand new PSU, corsair 650W.
This did absolutely nothing. Great. Now I have no clue what to do. Can you guys think of ANYTHING that might be the cause of this?
