Is there a such thing?

Just pour the coffee bean in there, self grind when I need ONE cup of coffee?
I don't mean those "pre-made" little coffee cup thingy.
I mean if I go to starbuck and buy a bag of coffee and just pour in the machine. Press a button and it will grind the bean and make one cup of coffee only?

Edit: I found it. thanks guys...
"Saeco Spidem Villa" is my choice then. ( okay, that's what I can afford only.) :)

You can always get pre-ground beans and then just use enough water and beans in normal coffee maker to make one cup.

Yes they exist. Although my grama told me the one she had the water would steam up in the grinder part and make cleaning a bitch.

get a french press, its the simplest thing you can do

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_press

mine makes enough for a cup in the morning and i can fill my travle mug for the drive to work
put coffee in, put hot water in ( takes ~4 min in the microwave) of you can get a electric hot water thing
mix
press
enjoy

I have one of these.

It has a blade grinder built into the filter basket. Works ok (though I've never tried it literally *one* cup worth of beans).

Thanks for the input..

Sorry, I wasn't been clear. Let me try again, please bare w/ me....

I like a coffee machine that can make ONE cup of coffee w/ press of button.

We usually have guest coming and we all like fresh coffee. (but I am not going to make 10 cups in advance - they tends to turn sour. )
And seriously, even w/ cheapo bean, fresh grind coffee always adds extra points.

thanks again,

Senseo coffee makers. They use the grounds packed in single-use pods. Actually brews a very good cup of coffee; however, the pods run at $0.30 - 0.50 each.

<---I think it is sort of misleading though, as the coffee pods cost twice as much initially than the refills do (IMO, the initial cost of the pods indirectly cover the cost of the "free" machine).

Do you want espresso? I have a Saeco Magic Deluxe (I think its been replaced with a new model now). One button makes a single, double, or Americano. You need to fill it with water every once in a while, and refill the bean hopper too, but I can deal with that :)

I would buy this machine or the coffee, you are stuck with a proprietary unit and can use anything else...I would take the Delonghi,Jura,Capresso units over this anyday. You can pick your beans and grind then.
