Single block video card ramsinks

CoolerMaster sells waterblock kits that contain a waterblock and ramsinks that cover the entire block of ram on one side of a card (two required for cards with ram on both sides of the PCB).

The nice thing about them is that you can easily mount/unmount the ramsinks as needed, plus the fact that you're using thermal paste, not thermal adhesive or tape. Unfortunately, these are only currently available for older gen cards (GF6, X800, etc) and CoolerMaster hasn't released any similiar kits for the current generation. Does anybody happen to know if other company makes raminks that attach the same way that would fit newer cards (GF7 and X1X00)?

Well, Dangerden and Koolance both have all-in-one waterblocks that also cool the memory modules, but they're a bit pricey. The Koolance GF7/X1X00 waterblock is $90 while Dangerden is charging $125 for theirs. The CoolerMaster waterblock and ramsink combo kit can be found for as little as $20 which really puts the DangerDen and Koolance prices to shame.

I was hoping to find the large ramsinks that simply clip in place using the stock mounting holes yet still allows an aftermarket HSF or waterblock to be used.

Just use copper bga sinks like the ones from OCZ. I find their tape doesn't hold as well as the thermal tape that I have (that takes a hairdryer to get it off) and does the same job just fine.

I have them on my water cooled 7900GT and they work great. (and I probably don't even need them since I didn't vmod the ram (yet).
