I just got one of the new seagate 320gb es drives with the 32mb cashe for my sons primary drive. It scores 5.9 on the wei however I've not tried any of the standard benchmarks on it and probably won't. I've read several articles on drive benching and the new drives all have advantages and disadvantages so it really depends on where you want your hd to shine. I learned a long time ago not to put my os and files/data on the same physical hd. If you keep them on separate drives the chances of loosing the data when the os drive craps out is minimized. I also backup my important files to dvd and to a portable hd.
