Single 512MB DDR stick

I hope so, I just ordered a single 512mb stick of corsair pc2100 ddr 😛

Are you implying that you've read that a single stick wouldn't be stable? I don't see why not...

nullsmack,

I am building a new system. I just wanna know if I should go with 2 sticks with 256MB each or 1 stick of 512MB.

Normally, you should go with one large stick rather than two smaller ones. UNLESS the big one is considerably more expensive than two of the half-sized ones.

Stability shouldn't be ANY concern in _this_ decision. If it is, you either got flaky RAM or a poorly designed mainboard and/or BIOS. Any mainboard should run as many DIMMs as it offers slots - if it doesn't, something is seriously fishy about this piece of hardware.

regards, Peter
