Single 3870 and Catalyst 8.1 - Any performance gains?

I was curious if anyone can confirm or deny if the single 3870's got any performance gain from the new Catalyst 8.1 drivers? We all know the 3870x2's did, but how about the singles?

Don't know. Still using the driver that came on my installation disc and it's basically 7.11.

My HD 3850 runs better with the 8.1 drivers. Oblivion rarely stutters now. I haven't played many games since the update, but that was the only one that gave me any problems before anyway.

This is good to know. I just built up a spider based rig including a single 3870 512mb card. I'm anxious to see how it does.

How do you like the that MSI MB? I haven't seen any reviews on it and I wanted to know how they were.

What are you running the 9600 at? I heard they could get up to around 2.8 GHz with a good air cooler, but I haven't heard how anyone has done with it here.
