"Singing" nvidia cards

I tried searching but couldn't find anything... I thought I remembered seeing a thread here with people discussing their "singing" nvidia video cards. You know, where they make this high pitch electronic sound that varies in pitch depending on what is going on onscreen lol.

I dimissed the thought of it because I thought mine didn't do it, but I just started up Crysis with the sound off and noticed that mine DOES indeed do it.

This brought me to wonder whether or not it's normal. It IS normal, right? Weird, but normal?

I got that ' high-pitched bzzzzzz' noise too, but it is barely audible, and when it does happen it doesn't last forever. One game in particular where it always does that is right at the loading screen when I load up a map in Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. But right when I click "ready" and the match begins then the sound goes away. So far I haven't noticed the sound with other games or applications. If it does it then I just cannot hear it.

Yeah the only game I've noticed it with so far is Crysis, and mostly at the loading screens for some reason. Once the game gets going, it either goes away or gets much quieter.

So weird lol. As long as it's common/normal, I don't care. I was just making sure heh.
