Discussion Sinema: AZ and WV need to be VERY careful right now.

Both places seem to be angry over their traitors in the Senate with AZ taking about primarying theirs if she decides to run again.

But with Moscow Mitch already courting the WV traitor to switch parties, the country is on dangerous turf. If either or both decide to switch, that could put Mitch back in the driver's seat, even before January '23.

If so, freedom is done for.

Do we really need the dire warning at the end? It's now used to the point of being meaningless.

Hey guy, Mitch is already in the driver's seat. "Oh no, I hope they don't switch because then we won't get anything done." Besides, Sinema isn't going to switch, she is operating under the delusion that she can win as the great unifier centrist Democrat that the nation clearly wants as President in 2024.

Both of those supposed Democrats are corrupted beyond redemption by big business interests. Manchin, being a corporatist himself and solidly positioned as a significant corporate power in his state with the mindset that goes with it should never have run as a Democrat because his beliefs run contrary to those of the party he supposedly is a member of. He talks like a Democrat but behaves like a Repub.

Sinema was bought off and mounted as trophy by her state's business interests of whom through her are now running subterfuge, lies and sabotage within the party in order for her to accomplish what her corporate sponsors and handlers paid her to do.

Can you offer an example of what you think common ground would be in this situation?
Easy, both Sen. Sinema and Sen. Manchin offered smaller, but still substantial child care packages and other plans that would easily be passed instead of the bloated and excessive "build back bloated" plan and both would consider passing modest voting packages including electoral vote changes, but not the extreme Federal takeover of elections being offered with vote harvesting. Moderate gains, easily passed. Moderation is a virtue this new authoritarian Democrat Party has forgotten.

Not really. I guess the next time you get involved in a job salary discussion or involved with a business contract, why not take 80%? 50%? Understand you would deliver just that percent of services, but instead of finishing or being hired full time, you’ll get something. Such a great idea, eh,

Arizona Democrats have censured Sinema. It is currently unsure now as what will happen in the 2022 Elections. As Sinema was a moderate, a liberal replacement for her may not fare well for the Democrats in the election. There is still no word yet from West Virginia Democrats of whether they wish to censure Manchin.

She is bought, paid for, owned and operated by the white collar corporates that financed her way to office. If she got her financing from the grass root folks who censured her she wouldn't be the instant millionaire that she now is.

I give her a very slight chance to none of getting reelected now that she's been exposed for the corporate toady that she is.

Her party just gave her the kiss of political death and of course it's so well deserving.

This. Simena is not, and never was, a moderate. She came to her political career as a Green Party member. Her goals seem to be: (1) destroy or damage the Democratic Party (not a big thing to me) and (2) personally financially benefit herself as much as possible. To me she is a corrupt politician through and through. If her actions were based on some real honestly held beliefs I would at least have some respect for her, but I have absolutely none.

She has gotten what she wants. The fact that she is a material factor in the decline and collapse of the USA is pretty much irrelevant to her.

This censure though, has as much as meaning to me as the numerous GOP censures for those that refuse to grovel at the feet of His Majesty Trump.

She doesn't sound very 'moderate' to me. Socially-liberal but fundamentally very right-wing indeed, is my impression.

Seems it would at least be clearer and simpler if Democrats just tried to win elections by consistently standing for something, rather than being a coalition that stretches all the way into the hard-right.

Meh it carries zero consequences
Basically the local party saying “ we don’t support what you’re doing”
What kind of consequences would you prefer? It isn't like lying is against the law. The GOP made sure there are plenty of legal ways to bribe representatives. Unless she breaks a law there is literally nothing anyone can do until it is time to vote her out.

She'll probably try to primary Biden, if Biden even runs in 2024, and she'll get laughed out of the primary process very early. Maybe then she'll snap out of it, but it will be too late. She'll get primaried if she tries to get reelected. I could even see her running as an independent out of spite at that point.

Until then she can do as much damage as she pleases as we all look on in horror.

She should effectively be kicked out of the party. May as well have Manchin & her be Republicans because they act as such and are literally dragging the party to a all but certain loss.
