Actually, loading it up and zooming in on the photo in photoshop, I am noticing that in the first picture there is a slight bit of yellow coloring in the reflection of the driver's side window, right when the shovel of that backhoe is next to it. Then in the second pic that yellow reflection is gone - when the shovel is no longer to the side of it. Also the reflection in the side of the car has slightly changed and especially the rear bumper.

They did a repaving job at an apartment complex near my house. A towing truck came by and moved about twenty cars in less than a half hour. The guy had a slim jim and popped the locks on the passenger side and did something under the dashboard. He then slid a fork under the front bumper and moved them to the other side of the complex.

I was watching all this with amazement and realize the professional car thieves learn all their tricks from the legit tow truck drivers.

...or is it that the car thieves are forced to become tow truck drivers after serving time?

What if the car was left overnight and the person had no clue construction was going to be taking place in that spot?

Not saying thats the case but just find it funny that everyone things the guys an idiot for leaving his car parked there, WhoTF knows what the "real" story is.

Apparantly everyone else knew not to park there, because his is the only car on the street.

It's funny that people are trying to show evidence that a BMW wasn't actually parked there. It's a nice attempt to deflect the negativity that's put on owners of other BMWs. The attempt is a failed one, but it's amusing to see.

You mean the very small section of street you can see in the pictures? Yeah, OK. Still, there is no way to know why the car is there so it's a bit presumptuous to assume the guy is a jackass that deserves to have his car scrapped or left with no way to drive out. The people making these assumptions may in fact be the dumbasses.

This guy who lives in my neighborhood goes on business trips quite a bit and leaves his car at his condo. One time when he came back from a trip he found his car moved and all f'd up due to it being towed out of the way. They had come through to repave and gave everyone a notice the day before.

Anyway, no one else was towed because they were in town. You never know wtf someone does something until you know the whole story.

Think about it logically - if there were other cars left on other areas of the street, don't you think the same thing would have happened to those cars, and the guy who took pictures would have gotten them in the picture?

I agree.

that deserves to have his car scrapped or left with no way to drive out.

Maybe there was some legal reason why they couldn't have it towed. Who knows. The construction workers had a job that they had to get done. Having a construction crew with heavy equipment sitting idle is a big waste of money. It does appear that the guy could possibly still drive it out - very carefully on the sidewalk. Notice that they are tearing up the sidewalk near the car as well, but they left the area directly adjacent to the car.

The people making these assumptions may in fact be the dumbasses.

Could be.
