i believe you should win contests on your own merits, not by the amount of friends you have or the amount of forums you can spam your stuff on.

i wouldn't have a problem asking people to go to the site and vote on their favorite one.
the problem is asking people to go vote for one in particular (specifically their own)

I figured you'd be concerned the most as it helped you "win" an Xbox in the past so you don't want to lose the ability to fluff future contests for your own personal gain (which btw, all bs aside, your hex design sucked. Nothing personal, it just wasn't that great compared to some others there).

Hmmm... I bet you could do some serious damage to a company you hate by pairing the ATOT effect with their Google Adsense advertisement (where I believe they have to pay a decent amount of money per click)...

if i remember correctly... there was a thread a LONG time ago about a kid contest and having their bike pimped out. someone posted for his friends kid and the ATOT effect kicked in to the point where the kid was ahead by eons... and someone got wind of what happened and another forum backed a different kid and it got to the point where these two kids had like eleventy billion more votes than all the other kids combined. and when one of the losing kids found out what happened they called "CHEAT". and then the parents got involved and kids were crying and parents were cursing... does anyone else remember that?

well, iirc... it was decided at the time that there were no more ATOT effect threads allowed... except for stuff like... "look at this site, please vote for whatever you think it best, but I am x 😉" which technically were the same thing, but a blind eye was turned.

perhaps a Mod could clarify if i am correct?

Are all ATeffect threads being locked then as a matter of principle? Including the babe voting things?
