Simultaneously exit all open programs in XP?

Any tricks to do this with one click..? Sometimes I have 30 apps open and an installer says exit all programs to install. So I do it one at a time.. what a pain.

You might ahve to look into the taskkill.exe command with xp

You can also ALT+F4 or ALTR+CLRL+DEL -- End Task , like a madman

There are probably a serious ammount of freeware apps out there that can do this for you as well

I usually just run the installation program anyway. If it has a problem with any open apps, it'll give a sharing violation, and then I'll give in and close everything (mouse to the upper right of the screen, and click a lot) - or maybe the program won't run right. Then I reboot, and reinstall the app. Simple method.

You can right-clicked a grouped Taskbar button and click "Close Group"

Also, you can hold the Ctrl key and click each button on the Taskbar, then right-click and close all of them together.
