Simulating no intranet access at work

I'm troubleshooting some services that should be available publicly but for some reason are only available on the local network. Is there a way to simulate being on the public internet (no intranet-only resources) while still being on the intranet? I can check things from home, of course, but it's kind of frustrating that I can't work on this easily while at work. Thanks for any suggestions.
