So I want to buy something from simsimgate.com that is quite hard to find on ebay even, let alone locally, plus the price even with shipping factored in is cheaper than anywhere else. I tried doing a bit of research on it, but resellerratings has nothing, and google yields very little.

I found one discussion on fraudwatchers.org but it boils down to some guy on the internet raving about the site selling replicas. I couldn't care less about that, and mainly am concerned with whether or not they will deliver the things I order, and not just run away with the $$. There are a few (seemingly legit) posters on the thread that said they received their orders, albeit with dented packaging.

Has anyone here ordered from them?

UPDATE: If anyone cares, I actually went thru with it. Figured I could do a CC chargeback if they pulled anything funny. There was a delay due to the Chinese new year - they resumed operations Feb. 2, and I got my stuff today. China to the US in a week using the cheapest available shipping :p not too shabby. Nothing is broken, either (at least not visibly).

I think I lucked out though - the packaging was beyond bad (no shipping box!!) - the actual "retail" boxes were stacked one on top of the other, and wrapped in a garbage bag and about 4 miles of yellow shipping tape, with the shipping labels on top of that.

Cliffs:

Placed small order online with potentially shady Chinese electronics wholesaler
I got my stuff
China didn't steal my moneys
Crappy packaging

What did you get?

:p

Out with it already. We will all buy from there and make killings on ebay. Hurry up!

One of these and one of these. :)

Reason - the car I just got is notorious for having shitty sun visors, which like to crack at the plastic part which holds them in position. Mine are both cracked there, and they droop unless you find some way to tie them up. Not wanting to buy more junk Subaru visors only to have them break again, I thought this would be a nice solution. Plus it'll help to shut up any backseat drivers. :p.
