sims.icp(what is it)

the sims ran fine on my win xp,p3 933 for about a month then it started to act funny mainly freezing up. when i checked task manager it said that a program called sim.icp was using 99% of cpu resources while also using alot of my system memory.

has anyone esle had this problem, does anyone know how to correct it. i havent used any of the expansion packs just the game of the year sims game.

i tried to use the updater but something seems to be wrong with the server.

would appreciate any help.
