I've been debating on whether to purchase the Sims 3. I tried the Sims 2- initially it was pretty neat, but I was bored quickly.

Is the Sims 3 good enough that I may not be bored with it? I just don't want to throw away my money.

Also, would I be able to sell this game if I didn't like it or got tired of it or is it something that will be tied to an EA account?

Replies appreciated.

I suspect you'll run into the same thing, neat at first, then loss of interest.

A female friend of mine who was a big fan of the Sims 2 and the expansions bought it right after it came out and quit playing after about a week. She said it was the Sims 2 but with better graphics and less content even when compared only to the original Sims 2 game. I didn't think it looked bad but wasn't too impressed that the first patch wasn't installing for half the people with the game due to some missing file error.

Yeah I lasted about 6 hours playing it before it became tedious. You should pass.

I do know a place you can buy a key and use EAs download manager for really cheap. If you are interested PM me cause I don't think we are allowed to post those sites here.
