EDIT: I cheated a little and suprnova'd the game. It does not work well enough to play on a KM400 chipset.

on their page they say
If you have a T&L capable video card with at least 32 MB of video RAM then you need at least:
800 MHz processor or better
256 MB RAM if Windows XP, Windows ME, Windows 98 or Windows 2000
At least 3.5 GB of hard drive space
If you have a non-T&L capable video card (an Intel Extreme Graphics or a Radeon 7000/VE Series) then you need at least:
2.0 GHz processor or better
256 MB RAM if Windows XP, Windows ME, Windows 98, or Windows 2000
At least 3.5 GB of hard drive space

So, the KM400 doesn't support T&L, but it's no in their list of supported video options. Will it work?

System specs (don't laugh, it's a friend's system)

MSI KM4M-V
AXP 2400
512 megs pc3200
80gig ATA100 seagate

You're ok on everything accept for that KM400:

The basic characteristics of the UniChrome KM400 graphics core follow:

1 pixel pipeline with two TMUs;
Support of bi-linear and tri-linear texture filtering;
Rendering of up to 2 textures per pass;
Motion compensation and iDCT for DVD playback;
250MHz RAMDAC.

Take a look at this review. The chipset doesnt fare very well. I would have to say you're out of luck. Do you have any money for an upgrade?

I'll have to ask them. I told them to spend a little more and go for a NF2 IGP solution, or a little more than that and get a discrete video card. oh well. My 2500m, and R9700pro and I will laugh at them I suppose.

Is there a Demo out there which I could use to see if the game will work? I don't want to shell out the $ if it's not going to work.
