Interview w/Groening

Personally, I think the Simpons need to bow out. The last 2 or 3 seasons haven't been nearly as good as the first 10 or 11. The smart satire and dark comedy (that so complimented the slap stick) has given way to "d!ck jokes" and the show feels like a very watered down South Park. The show, IMO, isn't "smart" anymore. Example:
Quote from older show, Homer to Lisa: "In this house we obey the laws of thermal dynamics!":D
Quote from newer show, Skinner to class hamster: "Quick Nipper, chew threw my ball sack!"

yeah, it really has gone downhill in the last couple years. now it seems like half the episodes are about homer doing something really really dumb and sometimes not even funny.

say it aint so... say it aint so...
Yeah, I agree, reluctantly... I also wonder what the future of SNL holds... Every now and again they have a good episode, but then there are episodes like the one with the rock...
