holy sh!t, I was actually thinking of buying a PS2 to play this game, but that's great news. Just saw it on Amazon.com for $29.99. Being released November 11th. Here are the system requirements:

# Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
# Pentium III 700MHz or equivalent
# 192MB RAM
# 32MB AGP DirectX 8.1 hardware video card
# 1.2GB free hard disk space
# 4X CD or DVD drive
# DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
 
Got it a while ago for the PS2. It's great if you like the Simpson's. Definitely the best Simpson's game for a home system so far.

I bought it for the PS2. Good game, lots of fun to be had. Some of the little quotes they say kinda get old as you get to playing the game for a while, but no biggie.
 
Know what's kinda sad about The Simpsons? They've been on 14+ years now... makes me feel kinda old. Some ATers weren't even born when The Simpsons first came on. :Q
 
played it at a friends house, quite impressive🙂 fun just going around causing havoc. btw double jumping and mario but stomping included!!

hah, anyhow, using a gamepad highly recommended, keyboard/mouse doesn't work well for these gta/mario type games.

Agree completely, best Simpsons game since the arcade title. Of course I was predisposed to liking it because I own GTA3 and GTA:VC 🙂 But I am also a large fan of the show (well the recent episodes are a bit lacking...) Though any fan would get a kick out of this game. References to episodes abound, tons of content, and the collection of missions throughout the game keeps it interesting and with a bit of exploration I got a lot of gameplay time out of it. I still haven't found all of the collector cards and wasps. Would not recommend a mouse and keyboard for this either. You can get PS clone controllers or use an adaptor for a PS controller, but overall a gamepad is the only way to play this one IMO. The multiplayer mode is very bad by contrast IMO though.

me and the GF play it constantly... it's so fun!
 
I'm a big fan of the classic Simpsons (it's been dick since '97) and GTA, but this game just wasn't fun. It's pretty much the same mission over and over, and it isn't very similar to GTA at all when it comes to mission structure and freedom. A big disappointment that I will be trading in soon.
