Simple Win XP reinstall question.

Alright, so my sister (2000 miles away) is a dummy. She never backed up her computers pictures. She has a newborn with some pictures of him on there, so obviously she doesn't want to lose those pictures.

She is getting a blue screen of death and safe mode/everything else isn't working. I am going to guide her through doing a reinstall of Win XP WITHOUT partitioning the hard drive. The question I have though is that she has her pictures in my documents folder. I do not think that if I do a reinstall of the OS it will delete the information saved to the HD, but I wasn't entirely sure being that those pictures are saved in a windows specific folder.

So does anyone know for sure if I can do a reinstall of teh OS without partitioning the HD and still have her pictures on the hard drive when we get it back up and running?

Thanks in advance guys.
