I used to have a shortcut for Windows Explorer that would default to D:\ upon opening. Now, with a new Windows XP load, I am unable to replicate this shortcut. I tried D:\ as the 'start in' folder, C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe D:\ as the target... no luck.

Can someone help me out here? TIA.

can't you just drag the drive out of my computer onto the desktop? or is that not what you mean?

That is the 'half-way' answer. I want that action AND the 'folders view' (i.e. View/Explorer Bar/Folders).
I can get one or the other. Windows Explorer defaults to the 'My Documents' folder upon startup which is rather annoying.
