I know absolutely nothing about audio stuff, so here goes. Lets say I have a 4 point speaker system with a 100W subwoofer and four 25W satelite speakers. If I were to replace just the 4 satelite speakers with 4 new and more powerful 50W satelites, will that overload my subwoofer? Will the new satelite speakers work as 25W only cuz thats what the subwoofer was designed for? TIA.
 
SOSTrooper, I'm almost 100% sure, but if your 4.1 speaker system is like mine, where the soundcard's hooked up directly only to the sub, and then the sub feeds the sat's, then the sub will only be able to power 25w's. Hope this helps 🙂
