I have a chance to switch my old D-link 624+ router as my dad will need something wireless and doesn't need very much in either security or features. I haven't been entirely satisfied with it as I've had quite a few problems getting the various security-features (WEB, WPA-PSK, MAC-filtering etc.) working smoothly.
And since I would also like to move my printer (a laserjet 1022) away from my desktop pc to a position near to my router a USB print server would be a very nice feature for me. But does those work properly, and should I worry about drivers/compatibility with my printer? I'd be looking at something with features like the d-link DI-524UP, but something other than d-link, that is.
Any recommendations? I think I remember hearing Linksys products are good, is that correct?
EDIT: oh, and for usage: I do some gaming online (though I'm not really hardcore) but not really any P2P so I'm a fairly basic user.
