I brought something from amazon.com and the item seems to be defected. is it possible to exchange it rather then returning it back?

I brought the item with a credit card. if i return it back, how are they gonna pay me back? they cant just return the money back to credit card since it's not my money.

They can and will put the money back on the credit card you used to purchase the item.

Well, if you'd stop stealing credit cards you wouldn't have this problem.

If it was a gift through Amazon, they can probably give you store credit. Or they can certainly arrange for a replacement shipment.

If Amazon doesn't know it's a gift, talk to the person who bought it for you.

I think you people are confused between credit card and debit cards.
Or you think your card will burst into flames if you have a positive balance on your account?

No you're confused. Anyways, read Amazon's return policy. It'll answer your question.

OMG it doesn't matter whose money it is.

Is it your credit card, yes or no?

Once this is answered the rest will fall into place.

Well, you buy something else with the credit, and then you don't have to write a check that month.

It's like store credit or a gift certificate for your credit card account.

This guy is freakin dumb as a rock.
Its kinda obvious you've never used a CC before.

Lets say that purchase you made was $100.
You already paid off the balance and now its at $0.
If you return it, your CC will have a -$100 balance....so in the future if buy something thats $100 on that CC again, your balance will be back to $0.

Its not hard to understand.

What?!? you mean if he pays it off, then they credit his account, then he'll have a positive balance on his credit card instead of a negative??? WoW!!!
