But I want to make sure. I want to use an MSI KT3 Ultra ARU mobo. Do you have to install two hard drives for mobo to work due to the raid capability? Or can I run one for now and get a second later? Thanks, j.h.
 
The RAID is basically an option, it adds 2 additional IDE channels
or you can use them in a RAID config. So to answer your question
yes you can just use one drive. If you do not plan using the additional
channels I suggest getting the version w/o the RAID/IDE option.
