Simple question about returning a gift

TallBill

Lifer
My uncle recently bought me a 300 dollar watch for a birthday gift. Its a highly rugged waterproof, etc, etc, watch, but its not really a watch that i'd even wear. I currently own 4 other watches as it is. He realized that I wasn't super excited when I opened it and gave me the receipt to return it, but i kinda sorta feel bad about returning it. Anyways, I'd hate for a 300 dollar watch to not get used, because it wont, so I plan on returning it tomorrow. Just looking for comments.

Uh...

Maybe you should give him the watch back to return it, and he can pick something else up for you? Be sure to explain to him why you don't need this particular watch, and why you wish to return it.

well, i would do that.. but he already gave me the receipt. This isn't a serious moral issue, just wondering peoples thoughts because i'm bored.
